Following on from the launch event on the Energy Transition in EU fisheries and aquaculture on the 16th of June 2023, the Energy Transition Partnership, will host a second workshop for stakeholders. This workshop will focus on the theme of innovation and technology and follows the Finance workshop held on 28 November 2023. Additionally, it will build upon the panel discussions dedicated to innovation and technology conducted during the event.
The workshop will take place as a hybrid event and it will aim to:
- Map the current available innovation and technology opportunities for the energy transition, including gear and engine innovation and alternative fuels.
- Explore and identify current innovation and technological gaps and possible solutions in areas of research towards the energy transition in fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
- Explore and identify how we can collaborate and make use of synergies to advance innovation and research in the energy transition in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.
The discussions between stakeholders will be the base for a summary paper, which will draw up the most important issues, challenges, and findings of the discussions during the workshop. The summary paper will be used as input for the design of the roadmap for the energy transition in EU fisheries and aquaculture.QuestionThe agenda of the workshop is available here:
